What follows are some suggested texts on the topic of "scholarship." While this area is quite vast and might be thought to include everything from theories of knowledge to approaches to research to strategies of scholarly documentation, the texts here for many of which related to scholarship on scholarship. Boyer's "reconsideration" of scholarship is an important touchstone.

Lorraine Lander developed the initial version of this bibliography. Sterling Treadwell, made very helpful contributions to this bibliography, as did Alan Mandell, who took the responsibility for this new version.
