Fall Adult Learning Innovation Institute:

Learning in a Competence-Based World:

Mindsets, Models and Methods

Pre-Approved for 10.75 HRCI (Human Resource Recertification Institute) Credits

November 7th and 8th, 2016

This popular two-day Institute is scheduled to coincide with the CAEL (Council for Adult and Experiential Learning) Conference Pre-Conference sessions in Chicago.

This interactive two-day Institute will give professionals who work with (and within) competence-based approaches to learning an opportunity to learn, develop and refine specific practices that help learners actually develop the competencies they seek.  This includes strategies and approaches that help learners learn from experience, and apply that learning while enhancing their performance in specific contexts.

Facilitated by Leaders in Competence-Based Learning, including:

  • Catherine Marienau, Ph.D., DePaul University, School for New Learning (SNL) Professor and co-author of Assessing Learning
  • Pamela Meyer, Ph.D., Director, Center to Advance Education for Adults (CAEA), author of three books on innovation, learning and change
  • Russ Rogers, Ph.D., DePaul University, Director of SNL Graduate Programs, leading change management and workplace learning consultant
  • Kathryn Wozniak, Ph.D.., Assistant Professor, Concordia University
  • With Graphic Facilitation by Jill Archer
